Description:
Phillips and Jordan, Inc. (P&J) was subcontracted by BIS Services, LLC to construct a sand drainage blanket along 7 miles on levee in New Orleans East.

Project included importing and placing over 900,000 cubic yards of sand and over 1 million square yards of geotextile separator. P&J cleared and grubbed 100 +/- acres of wetlands.

Total site area was approximately 350 acres.

The major items of work for this project included: Import and place 923,645 cubic yards of sand; Install 1,119,023 square yards of geotextile separator; Perform clearing and grubbing of approximately 100 acres; Install and maintain 108,997 linear feet of silt fence (erosion control); Install and operate 4 truck wash racks; and 959 tons of Rip/Rap for the construction of dike haul roads.
