Water Resources

Protecting access to our resources

From dams and reservoirs, to flood control and hurricane protection, water resources projects present unique and varied challenges. P&J has been building reservoirs, dams, impoundments, canals, and conveyance from the start, so we have the necessary experience to tackle the toughest projects. Our successes have served local communities by providing water storage, flood control, hurricane protection, transportation, power generation, and recreation.

Beyond new construction, P&J has also rehabilitated aging water resource facilities, completed dam embankment seismic stability improvement projects to meet new federal dam safety guidelines, and completed major levee improvement projects. Infrastructure improvements are growing more important by the day, and P&J is committed to doing the work to make existing facilities safer.

We’ve completed water resources projects under traditional competitive bid, design-build, early contractor involvement (ECI), construction manager at risk (CMAR), and privately developed water projects that have been transferred to public entities through public-private partnerships (P3).
